Job Description The Travel Solutions department offers a broad range of software and data solutions to help airlines and travel agencies market themselves, sell products, serve customers and operate more efficiently. It provides both airline reservations systems and a global distribution system, and a full suite of marketing and commercial planning software and enterprise operations solutions. With the development of the organization we are now looking for a new leader in our Kraków office Job Requirements The Director of Software Development in the Sabre Enterprise Connectivity & Orchestration area will be in charge of several teams in KRK, Poland focused on systems such as Teletype, Secure File Transfer, Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport (EDIFACT), XML, JSON, Credit Card protocol (ISO8583) and other interfaces which are required to communicate with over 400 airlines, dozens of hoteliers, over a dozen car rental companies and cruise lines, as well as loyalty and credit card suppliers to name just a few, across the globe. The position will also be focused on guiding these teams to the new emerging industry connectivities, such as New Distribution Capability (NDC). The role requires extensive product development knowledge in the communications / telecom areas as well as architectural skills in order to create the most efficient, reliable and maintainable solutions in the company. The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional communication and organizational skills . In this role you will: Oversee a staff of approximately 50 people covering 10 product/scrum areas. Be responsible for operational matters and effective achievement of objectives Consistently work on complex issues or with complex ideas or situations across scope of responsibility Be able to navigate by having in-depth functional, company and industry knowledge. Interact with executives, company peers, advisors. Manage via managers or technical / professional experts, at least 3 manager level direct reports plus individual contributors; Receive direction in the form of goals and project assignments. We need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Minimum 10 years related experience; 8 years prior management experience. Experience in working with airlines, good understanding of travel business Vast knowledge of relation management, business acumen, escalation management Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
